The second factor is much more interesting. It says that about 70% of all search queries have become long tail – which wasn’t the case a couple of years – or even one year – ago. People were still searching for ‘Insurance’ back then, and Google yet again changed the playing field. It got people hooked to longtail searches by various means – one of which is the infamous suggestions it throws up – quite irritably.
And then the last stat shows that longtail keywords convert 2.5x more frequently, which makes it a win-win situation for the business owner. Not only does he have to spend lower owing to the low competition, but he will also get 2.5 times more out of every visitor that lands on the business site!
